Yep. It's broken - and the truth is - that was my good leg. Fortunately, I'm barely slowing down right now. We've got a crew around me, and an amazing family supporting me and crutches or no crutches we're all determined to have a blast for the rest of the summer.
Just to be asked to be a part of this wedding was an honor. To spend an afternoon chasing around Camille + David and to witness just how perfect they are together was something completely special for me. // “So, I love you because the entire universe conspired to help me find you.”
― Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist
Young love and amazing friends made this Fayetteville wedding day special. It was a perfect spring day to say "I do" and these are a few of my very favorite moments. // If I had a single flower for every time I think of you, I could walk forever in my garden. Claudia Adrienne Grandi
This engagement session in Northwest Arkansas was shot completely in the rain and the end result was perfect. One of my very favorite engagement sessions in a long time and they did all the hard work for me. HUGE shoutout to these two for being so willing! //
When the rain is blowing in your face
And the whole world is on your case
I could offer you a warm embrace
To make you feel my love // Bob Dylan
Two absolutely genuine people spending the afternoon wandering around the hills on the Missouri line. This Northwest Arkansas engagement session was the perfect way to sum up two of the sweetest people I know. // “I took a photo of us mid-embrace. "Think of your family today and every day thereafter, don’t let the busy world of today keep you from showing how much you love and appreciate your family." - Josiah // A pretty rare glimpse on the other side of the camera on a Sunday at our house.
In short I will part with anything for you but you. Mary Wortley Montagu // This wedding was an absolute dream. I'm always floored by the opportunity to hang out on an island and call it work, but when I get to do it with Melissa it's even better. SO grateful for these two and their incredible families.
The authentic self is soul made visible. - Sarah Ban Breathnach // This boho styled engagement shoot was full of craft beer, big views, and a healthy dose of man bun. Sofia + Jeremy are two of the most authentic people I can imagine and this shoot was perfectly them.
SUPER excited to have received this bag in from a cool little Minnesota based bag company called Portage Supply Co. Check out a full review as well as a bunch of photos of this thing as I chat through why I think this may be one of the coolest looking camera backpacks on the market today!

"Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird, I would fly about the Earth seeking the successive autumns." - George Eliot // Falling in love with fall in this perfectly lit session. Crisp air, gorgeous people, and incredible scenery did most of the work for me.
“When I saw you I fell in love. And you smiled because you knew.” ~ William Shakespeare // This session was absolutely the most incredible part of a great week. From the moment it started misting and the wind picked up the potential was for these two to get nervous but they completely embraced the moments and had a blast with everything that came there way.
A quick break from the norm as we work with a great model on a Brooklyn inspired fashion and lifestyle editorial a few weeks ago. // "When you leave New York, you are astonished at how clean the rest of the world is. Clean is not enough. Fran Lebowitz"
“You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.” - Mae West // Jenn + Drew are the perfect example of everything working just right. From the light to the right state of mind this day was set up for success - not to mention this bride is absolutely stunning.
PART ONE (up to the first look) When one of your favorite photographers calls and asks you to shoot his wedding. When that photographer marries one of the most kind and beautiful brides you've ever worked with. When you have three full time lead photographers at one wedding. When the first look is a complete surprise to the groom. Don't miss this story. // "I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close."— Pablo Neruda
A young man in the Air Foce and a beautiful Christian woman ready to spend her life supporting him. These two blew me away from the very first hug and I can't wait any longer to show them off a little.
A friendship ten years old with this bride set me up to really be able to have some fun on this session. Natalie was up for anything and I'm so glad she was because she looked stunning in this dress and it was the perfect way to celebrate her as a bride even before she walked down the aisle to Blake.
This girl needs no introduction. Between Kate and Justin I'm pretty sure these two know every single person in Northwest Arkansas so when they called me to be a part of their wedding I was completely blown away. Kate's bridal session is one of my very favorites ever.
FINALLY sharing a few of our favorite images from this incredible wedding in Red Bank, New Jersey. This trip was so refreshing. I had no idea what to expect on my way down the Jersey coast as we left the Newark airport at 2am. (Thanks to every single airline for managing to never get us anywhere on time) The result was a cute little town with great views and some of the best people.
