This wedding was iconic Boston with a little extra flavor. From Beacon Hill to Cambridge ending up at the Boston Museum of Science every step of the way was beautifully done. Kerin is another in a long line of my favorite brides I’ve shot and these images are a few of my favorite I’ve ever taken.
Banff Canada for the second time. Only this time, it’s personal. My favorites from an amazing trip, no story, no theme, just beautiful images, fun memories, and quirky behind the scenes moments.
A huge wedding at Springdale Country Club in Northwest Arkansas designed and styled by Amanda Reed Weddings. Amy Eichler and Weston Passmore pulled together an absolutely beautiful day and then danced the night away with Boom Kinetic and about 500 close friends.
107 reasons why New England weddings are totally wild. From the moment I pulled into Massachusetts with these people I knew we were going to have a good time. Zukas’ farm in Spencer, Mass was the perfect setting for a New England wedding and a wild evening.
We danced and played in the summer morning rain. With nowhere else to be, and no words needed to be said. Downtown Rogers, 1907, Onyx, and just along the street we just wandered. Talking about love and life and salvation and marriage, jumping from moments of laughter to total silence and when we wrapped it up I was left feeling like something really special had just happened, and I hadn’t even been paid for it.
After being asked to speak at ClickCon in Chicago a few weeks ago along side Fujifilm I started to realize a lot about the state of our industry as photographers. Call this an open letter to the photo-community, with some images shot at the conference with the new 100 megapixel GFX medium format digital camera.
Feeling a little more depth than normal reliving the story behind this elopement in Banff, Canada with Alix + Steve. These are more than just wedding photos, they’re stories of redemption and love and courage all wrapped up with memories that sustain them. We hiked, and explored the Canadian Rockies stopping for so much more than just the photography but instead to soak up the beauty in this amazing place.
"I would like to be the air that inhabits you for a moment only. I would like to be that unnoticed and that necessary." - Margaret Atwood // I shot this wedding with complete freedom to be creative and it was matched by a couple who was totally present and happy on their wedding day. The Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville is an absolutely beautiful venue with incredible staff and such a beautiful location for their couples and these two trusted their vendors to do their jobs so that they could just enjoy getting married.
Two of the most genuinely beautiful people I know said I do at the Crystal Bridges Museum. Right down the road from home in Bentonville, Arkansas I got to see one of the most authentic and love filled wedding days I’ve ever photographed. Ryan + Austin somehow seem to make every moment real and pretty and somehow special.
At the highest point above the Ozark mountains Julianne + Anthony got married at Mt. Magazine. We love all Arkansas weddings, but this spot is special and though these two came all the way from Nashville for the big day, this spot was special.
A sunset maternity session on huge rock bluffs overlooking the Ozarks. Kaitlin + Dusty were a dream to work with but then again, they always have been. Here’s the story from their wedding until now.
It’s been 2 years since I shot this wedding on crutches, a major surgery, all kinds of metal put in my knee, and learning to walk again and I think the only way I survived it with the kind of success I did was because of the people who rallied around me. Check out my story…
All adventures start with somebody willing to go on one. Ours starts next week when the plane touches down in Canada but for Alix and Steve their elopement adventure started today. This wedding was simple, stress free, beautiful. Go see what I mean.
About 30 minutes past civilization is a little corner of the world called Hazel Valley. This little nook was the place where a few of the most influential people I know came to watch Brandon + Elizabeth say “I do”. With a reception perfectly designed by Amanda Reed Weddings, a ceremony in the rain, and an incredible story I can sincerely say that this wedding last weekend in Northwest Arkansas was easily one of the most important I have ever shot.
An incredible Military Wedding Day at Cooper Chapel with a reception at Kindred North in Bentonville, Arkansas. Jordan + Jay made this day absolutely amazing and I have to admit I’m a sucker for a uniform wedding but this one was truly special with an entire groomsmen party in uniform and a beautiful reception filled with friends and family.
A perfectly Southern Fayetteville Arkansas Wedding at Carnall Hall. The University of Arkansas in the background, and the perfect group of friends around them Ashley + Kyle made this entire day so much fun. From amazing light to Brock Entertainment making sure every single guest danced this day was a dream to shoot.
One of the things I love most about shooting weddings in Northwest Arkansas is the variety in the weddings we get to shoot. This wedding at the Apollo Theater in Springdale had the bride as the ultimate centerpiece. A black wedding dress, plenty of tattoos, and a groom in a Maroon tuxedo gave us plenty of opportunities to make this alternative styled wedding full of incredible images.
Beautiful southern Vinyard wedding at Sassafrass Winery in Northwest Arkansas. One of the most stunning sunset photo sessions we've ever seen and an entire day filled with amazing little details.
Something a little different. Katie + Sean wanted more wall art and less Pinterest so we shot with rich architectural lines and creativity in mind. I loved the chance to just sit back and play artist and simply let them be a part of the canvas instead of the entire story.
This wedding just down the street from the office at the Ballroom at I street was truly special. Not because of the photos (though I think you’ll like them) and not because of the whiskey (though Macallan did send us a few pretty incredible bottles to share with these two) but because of the memories. Two amazing people celebrating their best day yet and I got to hold the camera.
