Crystal Bridges, Bentonville Wedding Day

I’ve written almost every wedding blog that even comes up on google these days about Crystal Bridges. The truth is we’ve seen this place dolled up a few times and in very different ways. From the Guide we made about “How to plan a Crystal Bridges Wedding” to a few of the most iconic days that this unbelievable museum has hosted I’ve somehow been blessed enough to almost always be holding the camera. All that said for as much as I love walking into this place and it feeling like home this one felt different.

Lauren + Vince have this incredible story.

She’s brilliant and beautiful, he’s hilarious and confident.

They met at Yale while he was known for being adventurous and I can only imagine she was laser focused on her future. I’m sure there was more than a few long nights partying for these two based on the dance floor I saw them absolutely tear up at the wedding but it’s hearing the stories of them hiking mountains together or running long races that really sunk in for me. They’re obsessed with the experience of life and still somehow totally plugged in with their families. Both of them are surrounded by support from friends and family eager to see this marriage finally get started and I have to admit for as much as I love being the photographer for couples all over the place this day really felt like I was invited in as more of a part of the family than anything else. I can only imagine after watching how intentional these two are about the people they surround themselves with and the way they invest their time how hard they poured over the vendors that would have the opportunity to not only serve them on their big day but enjoy it right along side them and I’m blown away I got to play such a big role.

I have to admit one of my favorite things about this wedding was the change up.

Working with a few new vendors like XO By Haleigh Kenney (the brilliant minds and incredible team who set up these florals) and KC FLO the band who kept this dance floor at absolute capacity for over 3 straight hours without a break was a blast. That tied in with familiar faces and a few of my very favorites to spend a day with like Katie McIntire for Amanda Reed Weddings, and Dave Abbot with Dave and a Camera as well of course as Jared right beside me made this whole wedding feel pretty special. These days I’m blown away by the locations on my schedule. Traveling literally all over the world for weddings brings to light just how special it is to call this place home and these people friends and I’ll admit it, I’m always excited for the next Crystal Bridges Wedding and the next time we all come together. Well done team and THANK YOU to Lauren and Vince and all of the guests and family members who opened the doors for us to be able to capture this incredible day up close and real.
