AUTHENTICITY OVER EVERYTHING

We live in a world where it’s far too easy to make fake look great. It’s why every single photo on this website and especially the stories below are filled with nothing but real photos of real clients. No styled shoots, no gimiicks, no pinterest page inspired work - just the most recent, most raw, and most real moments happening in my life and the lives of our clients lately.

The power of print. After years of capturing images for our couples and their families we’ve realized that the magic of a photograph just hides inside, until you hold it. Take a quick peek at some of the photos and memories around my house and why I love them.

Escaping the noise. Arkansas Overlook Elopement

How to elope. How to escape from the world and the noise and the formality of a traditional wedding when the stress of Covid and restrictions and all the clutter just seem like they’re piling up. This elopement wasn’t in spite of Covid19, we didn’t go to the edge of this bluff at sunset because of what we couldn’t do, but because of what we could. Arkansas elopements can be incredible things and here’s five of my favorite tips to give our couples who decide they just can’t wait any longer.

Remembering 2020. A year that changed everything.

It was a wild year full of road block after road block and yet, we had 22 beautiful couples sneak through the chaos. This is the stories of love in the midst of so much uncertainty. My favorite photos along side theirs and a look back at a few of the things I’ve learned during the most challenging, and exciting year I’ve had as a photographer.

The last wedding of 2020

The last wedding of 2020 was so special. Sure we were out at Stone Chapel which I love, and working along side Taylor from Amanda Reed Weddings… Which I love. But after a year of wild ups and downs, Morgan + Denton were the perfect way to wrap up the year.

An Arkansas Razorback Stadium Proposal

Today was a wild day. A last minute call to shoot two of the most beautiful people in the middle of the most beautiful place. I love being a part of an engagement from the moment she says yes and this proposal in the middle of the Arkansas Razorback Stadium was a perfect way for a Hog football player to ask the biggest question to the girl who’s been beside him since they were in high school.

Top Five Fujifilm Mirrorless Cameras

“Here are the top five cameras that I use personally to create work with in order of how often I use them. Every one of these cameras is obviously from the same manufacturer but let me be super clear, I found a Fujifilm camera in my hands long before they ever even knew who I was and to be blunt - this isn’t a paid relationship. In fact, nobody from the Fujifilm US team even knows I’m writing this post. It’s just a response to the fact that I am asked fairly often these days about my favorite cameras, specs, and reasons behind those opinions and I figured instead of being the photographer who calls everything a trade secret, I’d rather be the professional who shares what I know with people who are like minded so that we can all grow together.”

Not today Covid. Four reasons why weddings are as good as ever.

It turns out not even a global pandemic can stop people from falling in love. Weddings have changed a lot this year, but here’s a list of four things I’ve learned to love about weddings in 2020 despite Covid19. That along side a few of my favorite images from Little Rock, Arkansas and two beautiful people who said “I do” with their closest people present.

Carly + Blake. Northwest Arkansas Engagement Photography.

You can actually feel the breeze in this session. Fall in the Ozarks around Bentonville, Arkansas is my very favorite time to take engagement photos and Carly + Blake are the best kind of couple for a session like this. Waterfalls, wind, and long walks by the lake were perfect for these two.

Jerra + Grant. Arkansas Wedding at Barn at the Springs

It was a little bit of the who’s who of Northwest Arkansas. It was a line up of incredible vendors at the Barn at the Springs. It was Jerra Nalley and Grant Toms but honestly, it didn’t feel like the dream wedding it was. It felt comfortable, simple and yet so elegant. It felt real - and I love the way the photos tell that story.
